South Street
A bungalow so far gone, the walls carried the smell of decades. What came out the other side is something no one would have predicted from the before.
The Before
The gutting was non-negotiable. Framing stripped to bare studs, ceilings opened to raw rafters, floors down to subfloor — and underneath all of it, years of neglect baked into every surface. This wasn’t a refresh. It was a rescue.
Visualizing the Outcome
The bones of a small bungalow don’t offer much — so the design had to earn every square foot. Double skylights flood the kitchen with light. A sculptural pendant anchors the space with serious intention. Grey cabinetry, herringbone floors, and a teal nailhead sofa in the living room create a palette that feels collected rather than coordinated.
The Outcome
The result is proof that square footage is irrelevant when the design is right. Every decision — material, fixture, finish — was made with the same precision the original build never had. A bungalow that had nothing left to give. Now it has everything.
